Habitat Sense is the analysis of a stream reach’s physical qualities. You will assist students in surveying a pool, riffle, or glide, and looking at dimensions, substrate, woody material, fish cover, and other factors that determine how the site might be used by aquatic life.

The following materials are provided to help you at this station:

“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.”– Khalil Gibran
